A graduate of Trinity College Dublin, where she specialised in Piano Performance for the practical element of her degree, Patricia Murphy has been an integral part of Rathdown Music School for over twenty years, preparing students for Leaving Cert and Junior Cert practicals, and pupils of all ages for RIAM exams from Elementary up to Senior Certificate level, while always encouraging a love and understanding of music. Although primarily involved in classical music, she has worked on projects with a number of well-known jazz and traditional musicians, including Donal Lunny, Liam O’Flynn and Richie Buckley, and has also written extensively on music, theatre and dance.
